Central Jersey Rider Training Inc. has been approved by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to offer the New Jersey Motorcycle Safety Course.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
 
 
 
The following are required by state regulation to enroll in a Basic RiderCourse:

- Have valid New Jersey motorcycle license or a validated motorcycle permit. The permit must be valid on the date of the final day of class.

- Attend the entire course-if you are late you can not be admitted.

- Bring proper riding gear (see below).

- Comply with all directions from the instructor.

- Demonstrate minimum acceptable standards for each exercise.

- Operate the motorcycle in safe manner.

- Pass written knowledge test and riding skills evaluation.

- A motorcycle and helmet will be provided for all participants.

Note: If you are currently in the GDL program, you may not be eligible to receive the road test waiver.  GDL holders should ask when registering. 


 
Proper riding gear includes:

- Federal DOT approved helmet
  (helmets will be provided for BRC courses)

- Eye protection

- Long-sleeved shirt and long pants
  (torn or ripped clothing not permitted)

- Full-fingered gloves without holes
  (leather is preferred)

- Over-the-ankle boots 
  (rubber soles preferred)
